Ali’s Decadent Chocolate Pistachio Figs

Our dear friend Ali love bombed us with these delectable Chocolate Pistachio Figs at our Beltane Ceremony. To me this recipe has a magical feel to it, both ancient and luxurious. Figs have been enjoyed for thousands of years, but when you pair them with pistachio and a little rose-blessed Ceremonial Cacao alchemy, the simple ingredients transform into a little feast for the senses.

This recipe is one of those easy-but-extravagant creations. It’s minimal effort but maximum delight. Perfect for slowing down, savouring, and sharing.

Ingredients:

15 Dried Figs
Pistachio Nut Butter
1/4 cup ground Sacred Earth Medicine Ceremonial Cacao
1/4 cup Cacao Butter buttons
3/4 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 1/2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
Pinch of Vanilla Powder or a dash of Vanilla Essence
1 drop Rose Essential Oil (optional)
Dried rose petals for topping

Directions:

Take the stem off the figs and mould with your thumb to create a cup-like shape.
Place 1/2 tbsp of nut butter in each fig (less or more depending on the fig size). You want the nut butter to be flush with the fig, so it’s nice and flat. Freeze.
Make the chocolate by melting the cacao butter over a double boiler, then add the cacao, coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla, salt and rose oil and whisk until smooth.
Prepare rose petals into small pieces, and line a plate with baking paper.
Using two forks dip each fig into the chocolate & place on tray with baking paper.
Add to the fridge for half an hour to set
