Mmmeditation Chocolate Mousse

by Shaa Taylor on June 19, 2020

This is a gorgeously rich, velvety chocolate mousse & if you didn’t mention it’s actually sugar free, dairy free (& vegan). No one would guess it! It’s guaranteed to win the hearts of all those you offer it to. The peppermint oil soothes digestion, will perk up the taste with its fresh, clean, minty note and combined with Sacred Earth Medicine Ceremonial Cacao, it will help sharpen your meditation focus.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 Large Avocados
  • 200ml Organic Coconut Cream OR 3/4 cup green coconut water + 1/2 cup coconut flesh
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Sugar (Adjust this to your desired sweetness) or you can decrease this amount and add maple syrup instead *
  • 2 tsp Tahini
  • 5 drops Young Living Peppermint Oil
  • 3/4 cup Sacred Earth Medicine Ceremonial Cacao, ground or grated.

Directions

  1. Blend your avocado till smooth, then add & blend the coconut. Continue to add in all the ingredients in order, until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  2. Serve in small glasses or bowls.
  3. Top this delicious chocolate mousse with cacao nibs or chopped nuts.
  4. Garnish with fresh mint.

Before consuming toast to “Ix Cacao” the Chocolate Deva, then proceed to eat & melt your heart. Once your heart has thoroughly melted, allow your mmmmmmmm meditation to begin!

* If you want a total sugar free dessert (ie no sucrose & glucose) omit the coconut sugar & add stevia instead.

Our recipe is based on the yumolicious “Secret Choc-Mint Mousse” recipe found in Model Chocolate, p.152.

It’s the second harvest festival and themes of balance and harmony inspire this moment on the Wheel of the Year.

Is all cacao the same? Will a powder give you the same buzz and benefits as a ground block and vice versa?

This Black Tahini Dipping Sauce our current favourite, its a super delicious treat that's easy to make and even easier to snack on!

If your block is whitish and crumbly, you're probably looking at cacao bloom. It’s easy to assume that a white, crumbly block is inferior in quality to a shiny, smooth one, but this is not the case.
